Over the past few decades, orchestras have diversified their programs,
repertoire, and styles of presentation in order to meet the needs and
interests of their communities. Most American orchestras now present
educational, family, casual, and outdoor parks concerts, in addition
to masterworks and pops subscription series.
These five short pieces explore the interplay of orchestras, education,
and democratic culturea subject which I find endlessly fascinating! |
